Niagara Falls, Ontario

IMAX Theatre Niagara Falls, Ontario opened in 1986. The property where the theatre was located sold in 2017 and the theatre closed in 2020. DCI is negotiating a new location for the theatre and plan to reopen soon.

The venue featured attractions such as the Niagara Falls Daredevil Gallery, dining area, and a retail store. The store was a revenue driver and had thousands of SKUs including t-shirts, stuffed animals and other souvenir products specific to Niagara Falls.  DCI has a long and successful history understanding retail in the Niagara Falls area.  The quick serve dining area included hot dogs, popcorn, sodas, and frozen treats among the product offerings.

The IMAX Theatre featured:

  • A 1,200 square-foot retail store
  • Quick serve 1,000 square-foot dining area
  • 600 seat IMAX Theater featuring “Niagara: Miracles, Myths & Magic”
  • Daredevil Gallery

The Niagara film was one of the most watched IMAX films in Canada seen by over 16 million people.
