REVIEWS

DCI's latest release, "Roar: Lions of the Kalahari" has been received enthusiastically by theater owners and the press.

FROM PRESS/REVIEWERS:

"'Forces' provides a powerful, educational look at nature"
Louise Kennedy, Global Staff (Printable version*)

"If you sometimes drop in on the Nature Channel or "Nova," or if you paid any attention at all in science class, you won't walk away from "Forces of Nature" knowing much more about volcanoes, earthquakes and tornadoes than you knew when you came in.  Not in hard data, anyway. But you'll walk away understanding more – having seen, experienced, felt. And your walk might be just a little unsteady: This new IMAX film delivers one visceral wallop after another. And you don't even have to watch Dennis Quaid slosh around New York."
Arthur Salm, San Diego Union Tribune Staff

"With the spectacular opening of Forces of Nature, narrated by Kevin Bacon, IMAX outdoes Hollywood's fanciest effects wizards.
The large-format film is about three of Earth's most terrifying natural events - earthquakes, tornadoes and volcano eruptions - begins with the birth of our planet."
Jane Sumner, Dallas Morning News Staff

"This large format film has a smashing, seat rumbling intro. This great teaser of volcanoes, earthquakes and tornadoes is a good indication of the science to come, while its visuals and sound effects go directly for the visceral."
Ross Anthony, Ross Anthony's Hollywood Report Card

FROM THEATER MANAGERS

"Forces of Nature is a very, very good film. Eventually, every institutional theater in the world will license it. Last night the final show of the evening was interrupted during the last few minutes of the tornado sequence by a power failure caused by a massive tornadic thunderstorm. There were several funnel clouds reported within a few miles of us, and we had straight-line winds at over 80mph. The power kept going out as we tried to restart the show. After several attempts, the console operator apologized and told the audience that if they wanted to go look outside, they might be able to get a good idea of how it ends."
Robert Esterlein, Director, Omni Theater, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
